About Me
Hello friends! I'm Leah O’Dor, a health and life insurance agent passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors by helping them navigate the complexities of Medicare. Since 2019, I've dedicated myself to providing personalized guidance and support to ensure my clients find the right coverage that meets their unique needs and preferences.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I find immense fulfillment in volunteering to give back to my community. Whether serving at our school and church or participating in community clean-ups, it is hard for me to say no when there is a need. From a very early age, my Grandmother instilled volunteerism in my heart. As the director of volunteers at a hospital, she had me serving patients meals, pushing wheelchairs, and delivering flowers as soon as I could fit in the “pink lady” smock.
When I'm not immersed in the world of insurance or volunteering, you can often find me with my nose buried in a book, exploring new local destinations, or simply enjoying one of many Florida beaches. I cherish moments spent with my family, taking every opportunity to create lasting memories together. And, of course, my two dogs, Rocket and Rosie, are always by my side, accompanying me on walks or as my office companions.
Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to connecting with you!

Navigating Medicare Insurance
Your Key to Comprehensive Healthcare Coverage
As you approach retirement age, ensuring access to comprehensive healthcare coverage becomes increasingly paramount. Among the various options available, Medicare stands out as a cornerstone for many Americans aged 65 and older. However, understanding the intricacies of Medicare insurance can often feel like navigating a labyrinthine maze. That's where we, as your trusted insurance broker, step in to simplify the process and guide you toward informed decisions that best suit your healthcare needs.
Medicare is a federal health insurance program primarily designed for seniors, but it also covers certain individuals with disabilities and those with end-stage renal disease. It consists of several parts, each addressing different aspects of healthcare:
1. Medicare Part A: Often referred to as hospital insurance, Part A covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and some home health care services. Most people do not pay a premium for Part A if they or their spouse paid Medicare taxes while working.
2. Medicare Part B: This is medical insurance covering doctor's services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services. Part B typically requires a monthly premium, which can vary based on income.
3. Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage): Offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare, Part C combines Parts A and B coverage and often includes prescription drug coverage (Part D). Many Medicare Advantage plans also offer additional benefits like dental, vision, and hearing coverage.
4. Medicare Part D: This is prescription drug coverage, available as a standalone plan to complement Original Medicare (Parts A and B) or as part of a Medicare Advantage plan. Part D plans vary in cost and coverage depending on the medications included and the specific plan chosen.
Understanding the nuances of each Medicare component and determining the most suitable coverage options can be overwhelming. That's where our expertise as insurance brokers becomes invaluable. We work closely with you to evaluate your healthcare needs, budget, and preferences to recommend the most appropriate Medicare plans.
Our process begins with a comprehensive assessment of your current healthcare situation and future requirements. We take into account factors such as your existing medical conditions, prescription medications, preferred healthcare providers, and anticipated healthcare costs. With this information, we can tailor our recommendations to ensure that you receive the coverage you need at a price you can afford.
Furthermore, we remain by your side even after you've selected a Medicare plan. As your healthcare needs evolve, we're here to assist with plan reviews, coverage adjustments, and any questions or concerns that may arise. Our goal is to provide you with peace of mind, knowing that your healthcare coverage is optimized to support your well-being throughout retirement.
The Benefits of Using a Local Health Insurance Agent
In today's complex healthcare landscape, navigating insurance options can be daunting. Whether you're an individual seeking coverage or a senior navigating Medicare, the choices can be overwhelming. While the internet offers a plethora of information, sometimes it's the personal touch that can truly make a difference. This is where local health insurance agents shine, offering invaluable assistance and expertise tailored to your specific needs.
Here are some great reasons why speaking to a local health insurance agent can greatly benefit you:
1. Personalized Guidance: Local health insurance agents offer personalized guidance considering your unique circumstances. They understand the local healthcare market, including the providers and plans available in your area. This allows them to tailor recommendations to match your needs and budget, ensuring you get the coverage that best suits you or your employees.
2. Expertise and Knowledge: Navigating the intricacies of health insurance can be challenging without expert guidance. Local agents bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. They stay up-to-date with the latest trends, regulations, and changes in the healthcare industry, providing you with informed advice and helping you make well-informed decisions.
3. Advocacy and Support: One of the most significant advantages of working with a local health insurance agent is having an advocate on your side. They act as your liaison with insurance companies, helping you understand your policy, assisting with claims, and resolving any issues that may arise. With their support, you can navigate the often frustrating process of dealing with insurers more smoothly.
4. Accessibility and Convenience: Unlike online platforms or toll-free numbers, local health insurance agents offer a personal touch and accessibility that is hard to replicate. You can meet them face-to-face, a convenience that is often overlooked in today's digital age. This allows you to discuss your concerns, and ask questions in real-time, fostering trust and ensuring that you receive the attention and support you deserve throughout the insurance process.
5. Cost-Effective Solutions: Contrary to popular belief, utilizing the services of a local health insurance agent can actually save you money. In fact, their expertise can often help you find cost-effective solutions by identifying discounts, subsidies, or alternative coverage options that you may not have been aware of otherwise. This can result in significant savings over time, making their services a smart financial choice.
In conclusion, partnering with a local health insurance agent offers numerous benefits, including personalized guidance, expertise, advocacy, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness. By leveraging their knowledge and support, you can navigate the complex world of health insurance with confidence, ensuring that you and your loved ones have the coverage you need when you need it most.
